Data Deletion
Last updated: July 27, 2026
You can delete your Pebble & Petal account and the data we hold for you at any time. If you are the primary parent for an active child profile, the app first asks you to transfer ownership or archive that profile so a shared household is not orphaned. Two deletion paths are available.
Delete from inside the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the app on the device you are signed in on:
- Open Pebble & Petal.
- Tap Extras → Settings → Account & subscription → Delete account.
- Confirm by typing DELETE in the confirmation field.
After a successful confirmation, Pebble & Petal deletes your active account and database records, signs you out, and clears the account’s local copy from that device. Attached files are removed during the request where possible. Automated deletion from our analytics, crash-reporting, and subscription processors is not yet part of the in-app transaction. Until that cleanup is deployed, email our privacy team after deleting your account if you also want us to request deletion of account-linked data held by those processors.
Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request account and data deletion by email:
- Email: privacy@pebbleandpetal.com
- Subject line: Data deletion request.
- Include the email address associated with your Pebble & Petal account. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity before processing the request.
What gets deleted
The following account-linked content is deleted unless it remains part of an active shared household as described below:
- Your account profile and authentication records.
- Care logs you created (feeds, diapers, sleep, growth, medicine, vaccinations, teething, activity logs).
- Milestones, notes, diary entries, saved voice-memory recordings, and voice-log transcripts.
- Photos and media you attached to your account.
- Notification preferences and push tokens.
- Household membership records you created.
What we keep, and for how long
After account deletion, we may retain limited information for the purposes described below. We do not keep an active copy of your account so that it can be restored later.
- Aggregated or de-identified analytics: information that no longer identifies your account may remain in operational reporting.
- Subscription and transaction records: retained as required by Apple, Google, and applicable tax and finance law.
- Limited backup retention: our backups roll over on a schedule. Deleted records may remain in protected backups for a limited period, are not returned to active use, and are removed as those backups expire.
- Legal compliance: records we are required to retain by law (for example, fraud investigation, regulatory requests).
Caregivers and shared households
If you invited caregivers to share access to a baby’s data, deleting your account removes your access to that data. Records you contributed remain available to the remaining household members until the primary account holder for the baby deletes the baby profile or their own account.
Subscriptions
Account deletion does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed by Apple or Google. To cancel a subscription, manage it directly through your platform store:
